Philippine Airlines resumes seasonal Manila to Sapporo flights with A321neo
Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that it is resuming its seasonal flights from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) to Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport (CTS) after a five-year break.
Just in time for the winter season, the flights, which will be serviced by the airline’s A321neo fleet, will operate between November 24, 2025 until March 27, 2026.
The nonstop flights will operate three times a week every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The 168-seater Airbus A321neo has 12 seats in business class and 156 seats in economy class
Sapporo is known for its world class skiing resorts and annual Sapporo Snow Festival featuring enormous ice sculptures, along with a wide range of cultural and culinary adventures that are popular tourist draws during the winter season.
“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of our direct flights from Manila to Sapporo, which will help us strengthen both bilateral relations and cultural ties with our Japanese counterparts,” said PAL President, Richard Nuttall.
“This route not only provides a convenient travel option for Filipino tourists and overseas workers, but also opens doors for Japanese travelers to explore and experience the Philippines’ vibrant culture and warm hospitality,” Nuttall added.
PAL currently offers the largest network of destination points and routes between the Philippines and Japan, with nonstop services to Osaka’s Kansai International Airport (KIX), Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO), Fukuoka Airport (FUK), Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Tokyo Narita (NRT), including direct flights from Cebu International Airport (CEB) to both Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita.
