Pilatus delivers 153 aircraft in 2024, secures new orders worth $2.4 billion
Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft has published details on the company’s performance in 2024, indicating an increase in both deliveries and new orders.
On February 19, 2025, Pilatus announced that 153 aircraft had been delivered to customers, including 96 PC-12 NGXs, 51 PC-24s and 6 PC-21s. In 2023, Pilatus handed over 148 aircraft to customers.
The Swiss company’s sales totaled CHF1.633 billion ($1.8 billion) last year, an increase from CHF1.478 ($1.6 billion) in 2023.
New aircraft orders in 2024 were valued at CHF2.193 billion ($2.4 billion), compared to CHF1.513 billion ($1.6 billion) during the previous year.
Despite the positive results, Pilatus said it was “again confronted with supplier-related delivery delays and quality problems, which impaired production processes”.
In its results Pilatus highlighted a new contract with Royal Canadian Air Force for 19 PC-21s in 2024, and the launch of its PC-24 Super Versatile Jet – dubbed the ‘World’s Greatest Single’.

Employees from 63 nations now contribute to the company’s success. Never before have so many apprentices been taken on as permanent employees.”
Bucher added: “Improved terms of employment, and a study which ranks Pilatus as the ninth best employer among 800 companies across Switzerland, underline our attractiveness.”
Overall, Pilatus described 2024 as a “very good financial year” that was “marked by highlights as well as challenges”.
“Despite the challenges, we achieved important milestones in 2024, with yet more portfolio development. We are pursuing targeted investment in our infrastructure and sustainability, and we continue to improve the terms of employment we offer our staff – whom we regard as our most important resource of all,” said Hansueli Loosli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pilatus.
