PlaneSense to equip all 71 of its Pilatus aircraft with Gogo satellite Wi-Fi

PlaneSense plans to add Gogo Galileo satellite Wi-Fi to all 71 of its Pilatus airplanes by the end of 2027, giving passengers aboard its PC-12 turboprops and PC-24 jets internet access through the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite network.

The fractional aircraft ownership provider announced the selection on October 15, 2026. The agreement covers its current fleet and future aircraft deliveries.

PlaneSense said testing showed the system could support several passengers streaming video, joining video meetings and using other online services at the same time.

The first PC-24 fitted with Galileo is scheduled for delivery in late October 2026. Retrofits of the existing jet fleet will begin soon, and subsequent new PC-24s will arrive with the equipment installed from the factory.

“With Gogo Galileo, we are bringing reliable, high-performance bandwidth to our entire fleet,” said PlaneSense President and CEO George Antoniadis.

The aircraft will use Gogo’s compact HDX electronically steered antenna to connect to OneWeb’s low Earth orbit satellites.

The fleetwide agreement is a notable win for Gogo as it faces growing competition from Starlink and other aviation connectivity providers.

Pro Star Aviation will handle installations on PlaneSense’s PC-12 fleet under a separate agreement announced the same day. The maintenance company’s supplemental type certificate allows Galileo to be installed in PC-12s with or without an existing connectivity system.

The first aircraft to receive the equipment will be PC-12 PROs delivered without onboard connectivity in preparation for the upgrade. Work will then extend to aircraft already equipped with L3 air-to-ground systems.

Pro Star said its approval allows operators to retain existing equipment when adding Galileo, rather than requiring its removal. The post PlaneSense to equip all 71 of its Pilatus aircraft with Gogo satellite Wi-Fi appeared first on AeroTime.
