Qatar Airways adds 94 extra weekly flights across 16 destinations for winter
Qatar Airways is adding 94 extra weekly flights to its winter schedule with 16 destinations across the globe set to benefit from the boost.
The Qatari flag carrier announced on July 30, 2025, that the increase in travel to over 15 destinations was due to increase in demand for its services from travelers all around the world.
One of the big winners is London-Heathrow Airport (LHR) with two extra daily flights from Hamad International Airport (DOH) scheduled for winter 2025, increasing the number from eight to 10.
In a statement Qatar Airways said that the extra Heathrow flights are “complemented by British Airways’ double daily flights”.
Flights to Abu Dhabi in the UAE will increase from five daily flights up to six and there will be an extra four daily flights to Sharjah, also in the UAE, rising from three to seven.
“Qatar Airways is consistently witnessing a steady rise in demand for our 5-star services to some of the most prominent destinations in the world, most notably for London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo,” said Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori.
He added: “This winter, in partnership with Qatar Airways, Virgin Australia will launch flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing capacity to three daily flights between the two cities. Qatar Airways will also restart services to Canberra, reinforcing its commitment to enhance connectivity between Australia and the world.”
