Rosen Aviation introduces world’s first operator developed CMS – Celestia
Rosen Aviation, IFE and cabin electronics experts headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, today announced the launch of the world’s first operator designed Cabin Management System for VIP, business and commercial aviation cabins. The collaborative venture leverages Rosen’s over 40-year history of delivering contemporary and bespoke technologies to the aviation cabin with an industry-leading operator that has been the exclusive user of the Celestia Cabin Management System since 2007.
The introduction marks what Rosen calls “a natural culmination of continuous development and true integrated partnership”.
The focus of Celestia’s design centers on reliability and redundancy, making use of a distributed network and secondary ethernet backbone, increasing efficiency and component health monitoring. Operators and users can create completely custom user interfaces and graphics, and can integrate with iOS and Android PED apps. Additionally, the Celestia system architecture is highly agile and adaptive to any aircraft environment such as VIP, business jet or commercial aircraft.
Rosen notes that the system architecture, unique to the industry in its design and implementation, has many benefits that apply to both end users, as well as operators and maintainers, such as the ability to easily swap out components between locations with little to no integration required. The system also leverages predictive system diagnostics to significantly increase overall system performance, reliability and robustness. The full range of system capabilities and benefits will be on display at AIX 2025, where Rosen will be showcasing a functioning system mock up.
Lee Clark, Senior Vice-President Strategy at Rosen Aviation said:
“I think it’s safe to say that this is Rosen’s most impactful announcement in our organization’s long, storied history. Celestia represents the long sought after goal of providing a highly capable, innovative one-stop-shop for all cabin electronics needs, yet maintains a high level of agility and scalability to integrate with other technologies available in the interiors space. We have been vocal advocates for creating that model, and to achieve it now and going forward with Celestia, is a massive accomplishment by our entire team and our partners.”
Rosen notes that schedules for AIX 2025 are filling up, and encourages any interested parties to contact them via their website to schedule a demonstration. The post Rosen Aviation introduces world’s first operator developed CMS – Celestia appeared first on AeroTime.
