Ryan Air (no, not that one) receives Saab 340B(F) cargo aircraft
Alaska-based Ryan Air has received a single Saab 340B(F) cargo aircraft from Jetstream Aviation Capital, adding to its existing fleet of Cessna and Pilatus aircraft.
Lessor Jetstream Aviation Capital delivered the Saab 340B(F) to Ryan Air on August ,5 2026, for use on scheduled and chartered cargo operations throughout Western Alaska.
The aircraft, registered N329AE, arrived just before 16:30 at Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) after a five-hour flight from Bellingham International Airport (BLI), according to Flightradar24.
On August 4, 2026, the Saab 340B(F) also flew from Great Falls International Airport (GTF) and Salina Regional Airport (SLN).
Previously, the 33-year-old Saab 340 has flown as a passenger aircraft with Flagship Airlines, American Eagle and Wings West Airlines, according to Planespotter.net.

Ryan Air is part of Saltchuk Aviation, which also owns Northern Air Cargo and Aloha Air Cargo.
Although having a very similar name to a well-known European low-lost carrier, Ryan Air of Anchorage could not be more different than Ryanair of Dublin.
Ryan Air was founded in 1953 as a cargo and passenger airline and is under the stewardship of the third generation of the Ryan family.
Rather than Boeing 737s and MAX jets, Ryan Air operates a fleet of small aircraft including Cessna 207, Cessna 208, CASA 212-200 and Pilatus PC-12.
The airline serves more than 80 destinations throughout Alaska, in an environment where, it claims, the “runway is a community’s lifeline”.
According to Ryan Air, in these circumstances, “air service is the only way to receive and send furniture, clothing, food, medical supplies, and more”.
