Singapore Changi Q2 data: 17.2 million passengers; 5.9% year-on-year growth
Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) reported that 17.2 million passengers were registered to have traveled through the airport during the second quarter (Q2) of 2025.
Passenger movements from April to June 2025 reflected a year-on-year growth of 5.9%, the airport said.
Aircraft movements, including landings and takeoffs, totalled 93,600 for the quarter, up 4.9% compared to the same period in 2024.

Passenger traffic between Singapore and its top source markets, China and Indonesia, witnessed the highest growth during this period, with traffic exceeding 2024 levels by 15.8% and 12.0%, respectively.
Within the top 10 cities, Jakarta and Shanghai were seen to be the fastest growing.
During Q2, Scoot’s inaugural flight from Singapore to Vienna International Airport (VIE) took off on June 3, 2025. The airline also announced new services to several Southeast Asian cities including Da Nang, Kota Bharu, Nha Trang, and Labuan Bajo, and Okinawa.
Cargo-wise, Changi registered 516,000 tons of air freight, a 6.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Amid global trade uncertainties, Changi recorded growth across all cargo flows, with imports posting the strongest performance, increasing by 8% compared to Q2 2024. For this quarter, Changi’s top five air cargo markets were China, United States of America, Hong Kong, Australia, and India.
“We continue to see healthy growth in passenger traffic this quarter, supported by steady demand across key markets. Notably, traffic to and from China and Indonesia recorded particularly strong growth in the second quarter, demonstrating our ongoing efforts to boost travel demand in the region,” said Lim Ching Kiat, Changi Airport Group’s Executive Vice President for Air Hub and Cargo Development.
“Together with our airline partners, we strive to establish more connections for passengers to travel to new and exciting destinations,” Lim added.
