South Korea plans to lease new aircraft to operate as Code One
Yonhap reports that the South Korean government intends to lease a new airliner and operate it as the presidential jet instead of buying.

JoongAng Ilbo newspaper had earlier indicated that the plan was to buy a new aircraft. An anonymous official refuted the news to reporters. He added that it will be a new aircraft which will undergo modifications and be ready late next year.
The current presidential jet, known as Code One, is a Boeing 747-400 leased from Korean Air. The lease expires this year.
