Starlux boosts long-haul fleet with 10 more Airbus A350-1000s
Taiwanese carrier Starlux Airlines has deepened its commitment to long-haul expansion with a firm order for 10 additional Airbus A350‑1000 aircraft at the Paris Air Show. The purchase brings the carrier’s total A350‑1000 orderbook to 18 jets, signalling a major strategic push.
With this additional batch of A350‑1000s, Starlux bolsters its fleet of ultra-long-haul jets to support intercontinental routes, including its recently announced route to Phoenix, United States. Delivery is expected to start from 2031.

Chai also hinted that Starlux may launch its first European destination in 2026, marking a new phase in its international expansion.
Starlux Airlines operates an all-Airbus fleet, currently comprising 13 A321neo, five A330-900neo, and eight A350-900 passenger aircraft as of early 2025. The airline’s order backlog includes six additional A321neos, three more A330-900neos, two A350-900s, and eight A350-1000s. The first delivery of the latter is expected by the end of 2025.
On the cargo side, Starlux has committed to 10 A350F freighters, with the second batch of five confirmed in January 2025.
