Thai Airways celebrates 65 years, unveils upgrades to in-flight products, fleet
As it marks its 65th anniversary, Thai Airways has unveiled a series of updates to its fleet modernization and inflight products and services.
Collectively calling the updates ‘The New Worlds of Tomorrow’, the Thai flag carrier made the announcement on April 29, 2025 during a launch event in Bangkok. The airline said that the updates mark its readiness to blend modern aviation with timeless Thai hospitality, ensuring sustainable growth and “world-class service”.
The airline took the opportunity to introduce its new tagline, ‘Grace to Growth’, as it concluded a five-year business rehabilitation plan. Thai Airways claimed that it is now poised for the future—with its shares set to resume trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in July 2025.
The event was attended by prominent leaders, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, and Thai Airways CEO Chai Eamsiri, with whom AeroTime took the opportunity to conduct an exclusive interview during the 68th Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) Assembly of Presidents in Brunei.
“For 65 years, THAI has remained the preferred airline for global travelers. Today, we are ready to move forward with a refreshed vision to meet evolving passenger needs with seamless and enriching travel,” THAI Chairman of the Plan Administrators Piyasvasti Amranand said.
For its fleet update, the airline will welcome its new Airbus A321neo aircraft by the end of 2025. It will feature inflight entertainment and free Wi-Fi for Royal Orchid Plus members. The airline declared that the new aircraft underscores its focus on regional expansion and next-generation comfort.
