Titan Airways takes delivery of first Embraer E190 regional jet
Titan Airways, the London-based specialist charter airline, has taken delivery of its first Embraer E190 regional jet. The 12-year-old aircraft will see the carrier return to operating smaller regional jets, a sector in which it has not offered capacity since it operated British Aerospace 146s in the 1990s. The latest addition to the Titan Airways fleet is also a deviation from the airline’s all Airbus passenger fleet, which itself transformed from an all-Boeing fleet in the 2000s.
The new Embraer E190 LR jet has been purchased by the airline and was re-registered as G-POWX on June 27, 2025. Having first been delivered to Air Astana in October 2012, the aircraft was more recently operated by MAI Myanmar Airways International, although it appears to have been in storage since 2023 until Titan Airways acquired it.
“The Embraer E190 LR, a regional jet with mainline capabilities, is the latest addition to our modern fleet,” said Titan Airways. “With the capability to operate at restrictive airfields, together with an impressive range of 2,400nm, the E190 is ideal for short hops or longer routes. The aircraft also boasts one of the most spacious interiors among single-aisle aircraft and fills a gap in our fleet for smaller capacity requirements.”
Titan Airways“Equipped with advanced avionics and fuel-efficient engines, the E190 LR is both reliable and efficient. It is the perfect aircraft to fulfil ACMI requirements on behalf of regional airlines as well as ad hoc charter flight operations for smaller groups,” the airline added.
The latest addition to the Titan fleet joins 13 Airbus aircraft already in service with the carrier, including A320s, A321s, A321neos, and a pair of A330s. Additionally, the company’s Maltese subsidiary, Titan Airways Malta, operates a trio of Airbus A321P2F freighters on ad-hoc charters.
A Titan Airways statement confirmed that its new Embraer regional jet will operate initially in a two-class configuration featuring nine business and 88 economy class seats. The aircraft is “better suited for domestic and regional operations,” said the statement.
Ivan Cholakov / Shutterstock“We are delighted to introduce the Embraer 190LR into our fleet,” commented Alex Harrington, Titan Airways Commercial Director. “This modern aircraft will allow us to offer our clients a more fuel-efficient option when serving the 70+ seat charter market. It has a spacious cabin and nicely fills the gap for smaller capacity charter and lease requests in the UK and Europe.” To optimise its charter appeal, Titan plans to offer varied cabin options, including a 100-seat all-economy layout, he added.
“Boasting an impressive range of 2,400nm (4,445km) and the capability to operate to restrictive airfields, such as London City, Florence, Berne, and San Sebastien, we are confident the Embraer 190LR will be a popular addition to our fleet. We are already seeing considerable interest and bookings from airline and charter customers,” Harrington stated, adding the airline is already looking at other opportunities to add more Embraer E-Jet variants to the fleet.

The eight-seat executive jet is also made available to charter by Titan via Norwich Airport-based (NWI) business aviation specialists, Saxon Air.
