To America on First: Air France premières La Première on JFK route
Air France’s new first class product, called ‘La Première’, has made its debut on the Paris CDG to New York JFK route.
The first aircraft to be fitted with the new sumptuous suites, a Boeing 777-300ER (registration F-GZNQ) named ‘Épernay’ after the main town in France’s champagne region, completed its transatlantic journey on April 8, 2025.
Air France has made significant investment in revamping its flagship First Class product, which was publicly presented in March 2025.
The redesigned La Première suites offer plenty of space – each suite has exclusive access to up to five windows – plus a modular layout combining a fully adjustable ergonomic seat, as well as a chaise longue which can be converted into a two-meter-long bed. The suites also include floor-to-ceiling curtains for full privacy, as well as other features such as 32-inch 4K anti-glare screens, 10V/220V, USB A and USB C power sockets and retractable storage space for hand luggage.
Air France La Première passengers will be able to enjoy culinary treats devised by renowned chefs such as Daniel Boulud, a Michelin-starred chef based in New York City, whose creations will be served to La Première and Business Class passengers on Air France’s US flights from July 2025.
Air France will be rolling out La Première progressively across its B777-300ER, fitting each aircraft with four suites.
For the first few weeks, the new La Première product will only be available on one of the seven daily nonstop flights Air France offers between Paris and New York. This service departs Paris-CDG at 10:30am every day (with the exception of 1:30pm on Wednesdays), all times being local.
The new cabins will next be available in the summer on flights to Los Angeles, Singapore and Tokyo-Haneda. The roll out will be completed by early 2026, when La Première will be available on all Air France destinations which currently have First Class service.
