Trio of new European airports join Air Arabia’s network from Sharjah, UAE
Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC), has had a busy start to July 2025 with the announcement of a trio of new European destinations to be added to its route network. Flights to Munich, Warsaw (Modlin), and Prague will all benefit from new services by the airline, to be operated from its hub at Sharjah Airport (SHJ) in the United Arab Emirates.
On July 2, 2025, the carrier announced the launch of a new non-stop service between Sharjah and Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, starting from December 20, 2025. The new route will operate daily between Sharjah International Airport and Václav Havel Airport (PRG) in Prague, “providing passengers with more convenience, flexibility, and affordable travel options while strengthening connectivity between the UAE and Europe,” said the airline. Flights to Prague will operate daily using the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 narrow-bodied aircraft.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said: “We are pleased to expand our European network with the launch of our new flights to Prague, a city known for its stunning architecture, vibrant history, and strong tourism appeal. This new route reflects our ongoing commitment to offering our customers more travel choices while supporting trade and tourism between both countries”.

Following the announcement of Prague services, the airline quickly followed this up with an announcement on July 4, 2025, that it would launch new daily non-stop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport (WMI), also starting December 20, 2025. The new service marks Air Arabia’s continued growth in Poland, complementing its existing service to Warsaw Chopin International Airport and its direct flights to Kraków from Sharjah. Air Arabia now offers travellers even more flexibility and choice. The airline’s expanded network “provides seamless, direct connectivity between the UAE and key cities in Poland, making it easier for business or leisure travellers,” said an airline statement.
“We are glad to introduce a new service to a second airport in Warsaw, offering daily non-stop connectivity between the UAE and Poland,” said Al Ali. “This new service reinforces our commitment to providing customers with more travel choices and underscores the growing demand for affordable air travel between the two countries. The additional service at Modlin Airports alongside our existing service at Chopin Airport enables us to further expand our reach across the Polish capital and its surrounding regions, providing even greater convenience to our passengers.”
Air ArabiaLastly…Munich
With two new route announcements already in place, Air Arabia completed the trio on July 7, 2025, with the launch of a third new European route connecting Sharjah with the German city of Munich. Starting on December 15, 2025, the new non-stop service will connect Sharjah International Airport and Munich International Airport (MUC) with daily non-stop flights, “offering travelers convenient and affordable travel options between the UAE and one of Europe’s leading economic and cultural hubs,” said the airline.
“The launch of our new non-stop service to Munich marks another important step in expanding our European network from the United Arab Emirates to key global destinations,” commented Al Ali. “Munich stands as one of Germany’s leading economic and cultural centers, offering strong appeal for both business and leisure travelers. This new route reflects our continued commitment to delivering affordable, value-driven travel options while advancing our long-term growth strategy. We look forward to welcoming our passengers onboard and offering them a seamless and comfortable travel experience”.
GCMap.comThe addition of Munich, Prague, and Warsaw-Modlin airports all adds to the carrier’s expanding footprint across Europe with direct flights to Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw (Chopin and Modlin), and Prague. The growth is substantial for the airline, which, according to ch-aviation, operates 94 routes serving 91 destinations across 37 countries. It does this with a fleet of 54 aircraft from the Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft families.
