A MH-60M was able to land on a Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) that is being simulated as a floating refueling station for the helicopter.
The objective of the exercise is to proof that the legacy INLS Roll-on/Roll-off Discharge Facility (RRDF) can be repurpose for emerging needs, replacing high-value logistics supply platforms in contested environments.
The INLS is a sea state three (SS3) capable causeway system that resembles a floating pier comprised of interchangeable modules.
