U.S. Navy’s only female Commissioned Flying Warrant Officer has retired
Lt. Amy Blades-Langjahr, only female Flying Chief Warrant Officer ever commissioned in the U.S. Navy, has retired.

She was the only female in the Flying Chief Warrant Officer program, which ran from 2006 to 2014. The program allows sailors between the paygrades of E-5 and E-7 to be commission as Chief Warrant Officers and become Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers (NFO).
Blades-Langjahr’s first assignment as NFO was at VQ-2.
