Designed for missions including ISR, SIGINT, and electronic warfare, the system is also presented as offering significantly greater payload capacity than the smaller ALTIUS-600, with earlier company statements indicating up to a threefold increase. Even accounting for differences between demonstration platforms and eventual fielded variants, these characteristics point to a system with sufficient reach and persistence to support reconnaissance extension, communications relay, and non-kinetic mission sets for aviation units operating at longer standoff distances.
