United Airlines nose wheel detaches upon landing at Orlando Airport: video
A United Airlines Airbus A321neo lost its nose wheel upon landing at Orlando International Airport (MCO) leading to a temporary ground stop as the aircraft was unable to taxi to the terminal from the runway.
Footage taken by an eyewitness on January 18, 2026, showed the United Airlines flight coming into land and seemingly conducting a standard landing.
However, the rear left wheels appeared to bounce back up off the runway, forcing the weight onto the front of the aircraft.
Before the video cuts off, the nose wheel can clearly be seen detaching from the Airbus A321neo and rolling away from the aircraft at speed.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) subsequently issued a ground stop shortly before 19:00 and a ground delay program at around 19:50.

In a statement, United Airlines said there were 200 passengers and six crew members onboard the flight, but no one was injured during the incident.
“United flight 2323 from Chicago to Orlando experienced a mechanical issue upon landing. Passengers are being bused to the terminal, and our team is working to remove the aircraft from the runway,” said a spokesperson for United Airlines, according to local news station FOX 25.
It is thought that the weather conditions at the time of the incident were difficult. Strong winds and rain were forecast for parts of Florida around the time of the landing.
Orlando Airport also issued a statement in which a spokesperson said: “United Airlines flight 2323 arriving from Chicago experienced an issue upon landing. There are no reported injuries. AARF is on the scene as passengers disembark the plane to take buses to the terminal.”
