USN setup PMA-230 to develop next generation fighter to replace Hornet
The U.S. Navy has setup PMA-230 in May as the Next Generation Air Dominance program office. This program aims to develop a new manned fighter that will replace the Super Hornet and Growler in the next decade.

USNI News says the program office has also initiated early discussions with the industry.
The report says the new stealth fighter will have a combat radius of 1,000 nautical miles and to achieve that, some of the payload such as weapons will be carried by accompanying unmanned aircraft.
