Windracers says expanded factory will deliver hundreds of ULTRA aircraft
UK-based civil and defense drone manufacturer Windracers has said its new refurbished and expanded factory will enable the company to deliver hundreds of Windracers ULTRA aircraft over the next two years.
On September 9, 2025, the British firm announced that it had completed a major update to its factory which will create more than 50 skilled jobs.
To date, Windracers has delivered several dozen aircraft to civil and defense customers, a number that will now double by the end of the year due to the expansion.
“This expansion is a major step for Windracers. It gives us the space and capability to scale up production of ULTRA aircraft, creating skilled jobs here in Hampshire and meeting demand from customers in the UK and overseas,” said Simon Muderack, CEO at Windracers.

The factory in Hamble-Valley in Fareham, Hampshire, has increased its size to 22,000sq m (237,000 sq ft).
In January 2025, Windracer unveiled its newest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), ULTRA MK2.
The ULTRA MK2, which was developed at Southampton University, has a 10m-wingspan, travelling up to 1,000 km at 77 knots with a cargo capacity of 150kg.
