Pilatus: Hans Erni's livery a signature PC-12NG celebrating the 75 years of manufacturer
The Swiss artist Hans Erni, 105 years of age and a distinguished career as a painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and sculptor, celebrated 75 the Constitution of Pilatus Aircraft in Stans with a special livery which is an aircraft PC-12 used as a demonstrator. In addition to being a world-renowned artist Hans Erni is also a private pilot 1946 and has devoted much of his work in aviation.
To celebrate the event, Erni chose royal blue background decorated with animal figures in white, including horses, doves of peace and the mythological Pegasus. With this choice, the artist wanted to represent the strength and capabilities of PC-12NG aircraft. Erni's work ended yesterday with the signature and date affixed to the plane's engine cover at his gallery in Lucerne.
