Monday, 16 February was presented in Rome, at Air Palace, the presence of the Chief of staff of the’ Aeronautica Militare, General Pasquale Precious, the volume that accompanies and delves into the view “In the sign of the prancing horse – Francesco Baracca between myth and History”. The initiative was created by the Museo dell'aeronautica Gianni Caproni, by the autonomous province of Trento, in collaboration with the Museo "Francesco Baracca” Lugo and the Italian air force.
The view and its volume tell the figure of major Italian fighter ace during the first world war and the history of the prancing horse, recently recognized as the symbol of the world's most popular Italian.
For the exhibition "in the sign of the prancing horse” the force has provided some important mementos that are exposed to the public for the first time, a testimony of the importance and the commitment made by the air force for the protection, the preservation and dissemination of culture and its values.
They will also be exposed important documents from the archives of the Vittoriale degli Italiani and the collections of the Museo "Francesco Baracca” Lugo, who has provided a substantial part of their memorabilia, allowing to compose an exhibition on the figure of the great fighter ace of World War I never so complete.
