Delta unveils new cabin interior set to debut ahead of carrier’s centennial year
Delta Air Lines will debut a brand new look for its cabin design before 2024 ends.
The US carrier offered a sneak peek at its new cabin interior, which will be launched later in the year on a B757 aircraft scheduled to fly on domestic and short-haul international services.

Every aspect of Delta’s cabin interior has been redesigned, from fresh seating materials, enhanced lighting and a renewed color palette, to new decorative motifs and signature branding.
“Delta has a 100-year history of creating a customer experience that feels welcoming and thoughtful with intentional design elements woven into every aspect of a customer’s travel,” Mauricio Parise, Vice President – Customer Experience Design at Delta said in a statement.
“As we embark on our next century of flying, this refreshed cabin interior infuses utility with beauty to create an atmosphere that feels fresh, elevated, and timeless while reflecting our customers’ evolving tastes and expectations,” Parise added.
The cabin interior changes are not limited to aesthetics. According to Delta, the new seats feature breathable materials, comfortable memory-foam cushions on widebody jets, and lighting that promotes relaxation will span the fleet.
Mood lighting is offered to fit every phase of the flight, so that customers may feel well-grounded and better adjusted to their time zone.
For its colors and design elements, Delta is leaning into a softer, warmer and more modern color palette with natural materials such as wool and accents of Delta’s original heritage colors throughout. The design is fresh, clean and elegant, Delta said.
Additional aircraft will receive the new cabin design as Delta’s schedule and operation allows over the next few years.
“Delta has taken the time to develop every detail of our new interiors; the team was intentional in creating an experience that mimics our customers’ lifestyles and puts them at ease as soon as they board our aircraft,” Parise added. “We look forward to sharing our hard work with our customers and welcoming them onboard.”
