Dassault Aviation took part in the launch of the 6th planting campaign for the new Maubuisson forest in the Val d’Oise department, France.
The Company is a major sponsor of this project, which aims to create an immense wooded area of over a million trees on 1,340 hectares near its new Cergy plant.
This is the largest reforestation project to be carried out in France in four centuries.
It will create a link between the Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Montmorency forests, ensuring the capture and storage of a significant quantity of carbon for decades to come.
The aim of this large-scale plantation is to provide future generations with a natural setting conducive to the development of biodiversity, a veritable green lung in the heart of the Île-de-France region. As well as contributing to the development of the region’s natural heritage, the future forest will help combat air pollution and prevent the urbanization of land polluted by Parisian wastewater.
