Norwegian announces 17 new routes for Summer 2025 including three from the UK
Norwegian has announced the launch of 17 new routes for the northern summer of 2025, which will include a trio of new routes from the UK. In all, with the new routes included in the total, the Oslo-based budget airline is planning to operate 344 individual routes and serve 128 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East during the summer peak of 2025.
The new routes from the UK will see an additional pair of services from the carrier’s existing UK hub at London-Gatwick Airport (LGW), plus the addition of Newcastle Airport in the Northeast of England (NCL) as an additional destination. Norwegian currently operates 21 routes from the UK to 15 destinations in five countries. In addition to the UK, new routes will also be launching from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Latvia to a range of destinations across Europe.
From March 30, 2025, the carrier will begin operating a new service from Gatwick to Riga (RIX) in Latvia, joining airBaltic on the route. Flights will initially operate twice weekly but will increase to three times weekly later in the summer. Then, on April 11, 2025, twice-weekly flights from Gatwick to Ålesund-Vigra Airport (AES) in Norway will join the airline’s network for the first time. The last of the new routes to join the carrier’s UK operation will be twice-weekly services from Newcastle to Copenhagen in Denmark starting on May 2, 2024.

As the summer months are a busy travel period, we encourage customers to plan and book their holidays early to secure seats.”
Norwegian’s summer program 2025 will feature 344 routes distributed across five Nordic countries plus those from the UK – 167 originating in Norway, 86 from Denmark, 71 from Sweden, 25 from Finland, and eight from Latvia. Norwegian operates both summer and winter programs. The airline’s summer program runs from late March through October, while the current winter program includes 170 routes to 76 destinations.
