Emirates resumes flights to Beirut and Baghdad after temporary suspension
Emirates announced that it will resume its flight operations to Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) in Lebanon and Baghdad International Airport (BGW) in Iraq from Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The flights will recommence on February 1, 2025, after about four months of temporary suspension. In September 2024, Emirates announced it would suspend operations to Beirut and Baghdad due to conflict in the area following Israel’s invasion of Southern Lebanon.
During that time, other carriers such as Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, and Egyptair also suspended their services to the Lebanese capital.
A ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has been signed, which currently extends until February 18, 2025.From February 1, 2025, Emirates will operate daily flights to Lebanon and Baghdad on its Boeing 777-300ER in three classes. From April 1, 2025, the airline will boost its operations with an additional second daily service to Beirut, also set to be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in three classes.

EK953 departs Dubai at 1130, arriving in Beirut at 1400 EK954 departs Beirut at 1530, arriving in Dubai at 2120
From April 1, 2025, Emirates’ second daily service:
EK 957 departs Dubai 0730, arriving in Beirut at 1030EK958 departs Beirut 1205, arriving in Dubai at 1655
Dubai to Baghdad schedule on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday:
EK 941 departs Dubai at 0805, arriving in Baghdad at 0950EK 942 departs Baghdad at 1125, arriving in Dubai at 1435
Dubai to Baghdad schedule on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday:
