Chair in Complex Systems Architecture at the 2025 Paris Air Show
The “Architecture des Systèmes Complexes” teaching and research chair at the Institut Polytechnique was inaugurated by the French Minister for the Armed Forces, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu, at the 2025 Paris Air Show at Le Bourget. This chair brings together four engineering schools of the Institut Polytechnique (Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées, Télécom Paris and Télécom Sud Paris) around structuring themes for combat system architects such as: Dassault Aviation for combat aircraft, KNDS Nexter for land combat systems, and Naval Group for naval combat systems.
Also supported by the Agence de l’Innovation de Défense of the Direction Générale pour l’Armement, and by Dassault Systèmes, this chair is now operational and has begun teaching students. Dassault Aviation was particularly pleased to welcome teachers, researchers and students, in the presence of Laura Chaubard and Thierry Coulhon, at the 2025 Paris Air Show. Discussions were fruitful, and the students enjoyed visiting the stands, the static displays and the various simulations.
