Philippine Airlines launches direct thrice weekly A321 Manila – Da Nang flights
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding its reach in Vietnam with the launch of direct flight services from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) to Da Nang International Airport (DAD).
Flight PR 585 departed Manila at 11:10 local time on July 1, 2025 and arrived in Da Nang 12:30 local time.
The flights, operated using the Philippine flag carrier’s A321 fleet, will begin as thrice-weekly services, and are set to increase to four-times-weekly by November 2025. The A321 has a capacity for 199 passengers, offering both Business Class and Economy Class service options.
PAL marked the maiden flight with a send-off ceremony at the airport’s Terminal 1.
Da Nang is gaining popularity as a holiday destination due to its diverse tourism offerings, thriving food and cafe scene, cultural experiences, scenic views and easy access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Currently, PAL serves Vietnam with a total of 24 weekly nonstop flights to Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Hanoi – including three weekly flights that connect Cebu directly to Ho Chi Minh City.
“We at Philippine Airlines are proud to celebrate our inaugural service linking Manila and Da Nang,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said.
He added: “As we welcome Da Nang to our global network, we affirm that PAL now serves three destinations in Vietnam, more than in any other ASEAN country, and that speaks of the solid bond of friendship that unites the Filipino and Vietnamese people. We look forward to flying travelers to the gateway of Central Vietnam.”
