Embraer presents positive Q2 2024 financial results, confirms full year guidance
Embraer posted its results for the second quarter of 2024 on August 8, 2024, with the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivering 47 aircraft during this period, of which 27 were executive jets (20 light and seven medium-sized).
Embraer’s commercial aircraft division delivered 19 jets. A single C-390 Millenium military aircraft was also delivered.
The total figure is almost double the 25 jets delivered in the first quarter of 2024 and represents an increase of 12% with respect to Q2 2023.
Embraer’s current order backlog stands at US$21.1 billion, which, the company says, is the highest in the last seven years.
The firm registered revenues of US$1,494 million and an Adjusted EBIT of US$138.8 million for the period (which represents a margin improvement, from 7.7% of the same period last year to the current 9.3%).
The revenue increase was driven by the commercial aircraft (US$553.5 million +17% vs the same period the previous year) as well as the support and services division (US$403.6 million, +19% over the Q2 2023).
In executive aviation, Embraer saw an 11% decrease to US$335.5 million. Defense saw the largest proportional growth +130%, albeit from a relatively low base (from US$87 to US$187 million).
Embraer also reiterated its guidance for the full 2024 fiscal year, which it expects to close after having delivered between 72 and 80 aircraft commercial aircraft and between 125 and 135 executive jets (with no specific mention of further C-390 deliveries this year).
