Japan Airlines and Garuda Indonesia pen new partnership deal, expand codeshare
Japan Airlines and Garuda Indonesia are set to launch a new joint business partnership on April 1, 2025, where the two carriers will cooperate commercially on flights between Indonesia and Japan. Building on the existing codeshare relationship between the two carriers signed in October 2024, Garuda Indonesia and Japan Airlines are planning to provide enhanced flight services to passengers through the extensive coordination of flight schedules, enabling improved connections between Indonesia and Japan.

With a significant expansion of the existing codeshare program between the airlines, which will cover over 34 routes across Indonesia and Japan, customers will gain access to numerous new destinations through the expansion.
