BOC Aviation signs lease agreement with Arajet for five Boeing 737-8 aircraft
BOC Aviation has announced the purchase of five 737-8 aircraft from Boeing and has signed a long-term lease for these aircraft with Arajet, the largest airline in the Dominican Republic.
“We value our partnership with BOC Aviation as we continue to consolidate our fleet and our footprint in the region,” Victor Pacheco, Founder and CEO of Arajet, said in a press release, published on February 24, 2025.
“As these aircraft deliver, we continue to grow our future orderbook and to further build out our fleet of technologically advanced aircraft,” Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BOC Aviation added.
All aircraft will be equipped with CFM LEAP-1B engines and are expected to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.
On December 4, 2025, BOC Aviation signed a lease agreement with European travel group TUI for 14 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The new airplanes will join an already sizable fleet of the type in service with TUI Group airlines and are scheduled to be delivered to the group between 2025 and 2026.
