Il Programma Space Rider, il veicolo autonomo e riutilizzabile dell’Agenzia Spaziale Europea, ha compiuto un importante sviluppo di programma con la recente campagna di “Closed Loop Drop Test”, condotta nel mese scorso, presso il Centro di Test e Addestramento della Difesa Italiana (PISQ) a Salto di Quirra, in Sardegna.   Dopo il successo dei test dello scorso anno, il programma ha compiuto notevoli progressi nelle tecnologie, concentrandosi in particolare sulla capacità del veicolo spaziale di gestire autonomamente guida, navigazione e controllo durante la fase di discesa e atterraggio.
