Singapore Airlines refreshes its inflight entertainment offering
Singapore Airlines announced a refresh and upgrade of its inflight entertainment (IFE) offering on October 21, 2026.
The new KrisWorld inflight entertainment platform will feature 4K touchscreens with OLED technology, spatial audio and Bluetooth pairing. It will also offer 2,500 content options, taking in some of the world’s most prominent producers, such as Apple TV, the BBC, HBO Max and Paramount+.
The IFE system’s user interface (UI) has also been redesigned for better ease of use. It will have clearer menus, larger icons, and improved search and filter functions, as well as a mini player which makes it possible to simultaneously search for content and information while continuing to watch a film.
Passengers who log into the KrisWorld inflight entertainment program using their KrisFlyer loyalty program credentials will enjoy personalized content recommendations and flight information, as well as being able to sync their content watching history across different flights.
As announced in May 2026, Singapore Airlines will also start to roll out Starlink high-speed internet connectivity across its Airbus A380, A350-900 and A350-900ULR fleet, 53 aircraft in total, from early 2027 (part of the A350-900 fleet which operates regionally is not included at this stage). The airline also plans to add Starlink to its future Boeing 777X fleet, although it has not yet provided a timeframe for this.
Starlink will be accessible for free by passengers flying in suites, first class and business class, as well as by PPS Club and KrisFlyer frequent flyer program members, even if travelling in premium economy or economy class.
This revamp of Singapore Airlines’ inflight entertainment proposition follows the unveiling, just a few days prior, of an updated inflight catering offering. This will see the introduction or refreshing of up to 100 different menu options across all cabin classes under the ‘SIA Chefs’ Selection’ brand.
All these product updates are taking place within the framework of Singapore Airlines SG$1.1 billion (US$860 million) investment program to refit 41 long-haul aircraft (34 A350-900s plus seven A350-900ULRs) with new cabin interiors. Singapore Airlines is planning to reveal the new long-haul cabin experience on November 7,2026.The post Singapore Airlines refreshes its inflight entertainment offering appeared first on AeroTime.
