Korean Air unveils new B787-10 Business Class seats: ‘Prestige Suites 2.0’
Without ceremony, Korean Air has unveiled the brand-new Business Class seat design for its Boeing 787-10 aircraft, named ‘Prestige Suites 2.0’.
The airline had updated its website with details and rendered images of the new Business Class product. However, it did not mention when the seats will be actually available for booking or on which routes it is tol be used.
Compared to the carrier’s existing Prestige Suites, the 2.0 version adds an extra degree of seclusion, with sliding privacy doors that transform the seats into a passenger’s own enclosed pod.
The high seat dividers measure 52-inch (132 cm) and the seat has a pitch of 46 inches (117cm). It can recline to a 180 degree angle, and as a bed it lays flat at 78.2~79.2inches (198~201 cm).
The seat width measures 21 inches (53 cm), and personal monitors are 23.8inches (60cm).
All seats have aisle access, and those traveling in pairs may opt for the middle seats, which can turn into ‘honeymoon’ spaces when dividers are not used.
Those who need to work, or simply recharge gadgets while flying, will be pleased to know that the seats are equipped with 60W ultrafast USB-C charging, wireless charging, a table for devices and in-flight Wi-Fi. A dedicated compartment for personal items will also be in every seat.
As such, this will be the first widebody in Korean Air’s fleet to offer in-flight Wi-Fi.
